This is smokey.

Last night as my fiance and I were walking along the river, this little darling ran out and meowed like crazy at us! We instantly both fell in love with her, and decided to take her home.

Upon arrival, we realised she was crawling with fleas... and she had worms too. The poor thing... We took care of her and bathed away the fleas, and took care of the worms at the vets this morning.

She is very tame, which leads us to believe she may have been raised by humans and dumped, or ran away. We've looked everywhere but nobody has lost a small gray kitten! At least now she has a nice home. :)

Our other cat, Holly, is scared of her. Yes, our full grown cat is scared of a small gray kitten!! LOL!

I'm glad we found Smokey... She is so precious!

  • Why is the kitten digging its face into the carpet? Is it hungry or something?

  • @steveparok00 the rug reminds her of her mother, and kneading is what a kitten does to its mother to get milk from her. So Smokey things she will get milk from the carpet! :) Smokey is very spoiled and well fed, she's not hungry, just happy. :)

  • Aww She's gorgeous : ) I had a grey cat called Smokey, he passed about 18 years ago when I was a kid. He was the most affectionate cat I've ever had/known.

  • @ElvisLivesUpstairs Thanks! Aww how cute. We recently found out Smokey is a Korat, they're an extremely affectionate breed. :) Maybe your kitty was too?

  • AWWWW looks like she got weaned too early, it might be that her mom abandoned her, kittens can be half auto-tamed if their moms abandoned them when they r very small: they start to seek other species to give them a hand, as they won't approach another mother cat, nor another cat will leave her alive if noticed in sight.

  • @arabian1111 Perhaps so! Though my older cat took a liking to her right away. :)
