iOS INSIDE TRACK: HOW TO USE WINSCP AND SSH INTO YOUR IPHONE OR IPOD TOUCH!

Hey guys for everyone that is new to the jailbreaking scene, this video will show you how
to ssh into your iphone or ipod touch.


1) Open up cydia and download: Automatic SSH, and SBSettings

2) Then download winscp: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php

3) Once in winSCP enter this into the WinSCP login screen:

Host Name: Your iphone or ipod touch's IP Address (this can be found by opening up SBSettings)
User Name: root
Password: alpine

Both of these are case sensitive


Your IP address will look something like 192.168.1.111

i don use wi-fi , so it says wi-fi ip address N/A, so how will i login in winscp

It should be noted somewhere in your headline that this is only for Windows Users. BTW, the download is SBsettings, and Automatic SSH is no longer available on Cydia.

Hey, I have a problem. I got an iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0.1. - Jailbroken) and whenever I try to login on my root it says "Connection timed out". I added the correct Wi-Fi IP, shall I try the Data IP? Or what shall I do. I want to install some apps I downloaded on my PC.
