This is a speedrun done on an emulator using (rarely, but still) save states. Still my aim was to make it look just as real as I would be doing the run on a real console - this explains all my in-game save choices and why there are no TAS-only-like maneuvers. I did this sheerly out of boredom after playing the game for the first time and then watching a run done by Satoryu. After planning everything I thought I could finish under like 37 minutes or so, which I kinda did. Also sorry for the lack of sound, the original videos desynched badly so I just cut it out. I'll be releasing a couple of segments each week.
Time - 6:59
I begin with fighting balore. The old trusty short sword works way better against this boss than claymore (I still use it thought every time balore does his beam attack because then I can damage him while crouching). Also keep in mind that the game doesn't keep track of time spent in the inventory so I can afford changing my setup an infinite number of times. One thing I could've done while throwing two axes at a time is either backdash cancel after the second one or simply jump before throwing it, but somehow I completely forgot about both these methods when fighting the boss (all of this also applies to the previous boss fight too). Then I activate wizardy lab's warp point and walk straight to the garden of madness.
