  • Hi Yoshiko, Thanks for leaving a note. I have to laugh at the name Umbro. The U puppies have it tuff. Ha.

We have Breezy now for one month. It seems impossible to let her go and then we hear how much good a dog does for someone like you and we go back to the all day everyday fun training with her to get her ready to become a wonderful half of a partnership. We have to trust that the person will love her and treat her well as we raised her with excellent treatment.

    Love to you Yoshiko

  • I received my first dog from GDB. We used maps made by gluing felt strips onto a big piece of paper with braille and large print labels. They always seemed to fall apart a bit though.

The school for the blind that I attended sometimes shared the residence with deaf students. I had four deaf roommates and we would talk using my laptop. I could hear what they typed and they could read what I typed. They taught me to sign and I taught them some braille. It was great to get to know each other!

  • I received my dog Umbro from Guiding Eyes for the Blind and he has made a difference in my life. GEB is the greatest school in the U.S.

    Good job GEB!
