This must be a genetic trait with Shelties. Our Sheltie, Zoe, has always gone crazy over the garden hose. All she has to do is see it!

Yes, i think you are right,he also dosent like things that click,barbeque lighters,light switches,anything that rotates,but he is great,not so keen on water,runs when i get the hose,

My Robbie has a thing for flashlights. He goes nuts when I get the flashlight out. If the power goes off, it's pandemonium!

Our two shelties also go nuts when we bring out the hose. One of them will run around the yard in a big circle, apparently wanting us to chase him with the hose spray. One of these days I'll post a movie of that.

Shelties are the greatest! Ours is deathly afraid of water (we think he's part cat lol). He goes nuts when I get out the cooking spray and the retractable tape measurer; just to mention a couple of quirks! I trained him to 'sing' on command and it's hilarious (future video in the works). Thanks for sharing with us the nutty world of Shelties! ;-)

We cant put any of our overhead fans on,we just have to cook in the summer,he twirls round and round,makes you giddy.I thought he would grow out of it,but he,s 10 now.

Sounds like your sheltie is a "spinner" also. See my video: sheltie loves to spin, bark, and run. This has been a daily routine for 9 years!
