California Daylight

Editing Motion | Time Lapse | Azusa, CA

Camera: 60D
Lenz: Canon 18-200mm
Editing: FCP, After Effects
Music: August's Rhapsody - (Soundtrack August Rush)
30+ Hours of Work

Tutorial | (How I did It)
1. You need a remote shutter control, I used this: amazon.com/Aputure-Powershot-Compatible-Inexpensive-Intervalometer/dp/B003Y35VJA.

2. And then I put the 60D in C (Custom) mode, and changed the ISO, f stop, and Shutterto what looked right. You can go online and look for what settings to put in for different times of day and what your looking at.

3. Turn off Auto focus on the lens, put it to manuel, this is so that it won't auto focus and change the focus for each picture.

4. So connect the shutter control and set it to an interval that connects to what you are shooting, (for cars, river, 1 sec),(For sunrise/sunset, 10-20 sec) (For the Moon, I did 7 min). Intervals are how many seconds the camera waits to take the next picture.

5. Then I used Final Cut Pro and put the pictures in the timeline as 1/24 of a sec for each picture.
