Here is an SMPTE color bar test pattern broadcast by New Jersey Network's WNJB-1 translator in Long Branch, NJ prior to an afternoon sign-on sometime in August 1994.
During its period of operation, WNJB-1 translated broadcasts made by WNJT Channel 52, Trenton, NJ.
Of particular significance are the accompanying audio tones of 1000 Hz and 558 Hz, separated by three 2000 Hz tone bursts.
is this station still up? supposedly I'm supposed to be able to get it here (never have), and I've driven past it with a small b+w tv, with no reception.

It was only on the air for a short while, as I recall. I believe the antenna was located on a tower off Route 18.

I see the antenna pretty often - coming south on rt 18, it looks like you're going to hit it :P
I can't find anything on the web saying that they are down... only references to it existing... do you have any links to a story about them going off, or know when it was or anything?

It's been dark for quite a number of years. I don't recall it being on the air for very long, either.
Considering we're past June 12th, and that NJN plans to move WNJB DTV Channel 8 from Warren Township, NJ to Four Times Square, NYC in the Fall, it will likely remain off the air.
