Chameleon (XNA Game) - DreamBuildPlay 2008 Entry

Chameleon game is a 2D multiplayer-shooter with 3D graphics, and can
be played by up to four players simultaneously. It is set in a viscous environment where the main characters are bacteria that fight in vast battlefields in different game modes.

In Chameleon, there are four main colors: Blue, Yellow, Green and Red.
Your character can assume any of these colors. The main rule is:
whatever is of your color, is your friend, otherwise, it's your enemy. Blue likes blue, but doesn't get well with yellow, green or red.

All over the field, you will see little balls floating around. These balls are of one of the four main colors. Balls of your color will be added to your shield as you touch them. Your shield can protect you from balls of another color, opponent's shots and monsters. There are thirteen different items that the player will be able to use in his quest for victory. The main items are:

* Homing missile and Mine: the old classics.
* Black and White mode: in a game where color is a deciding factor.
* Ball Attraction/Repulsion: lures friends and repels enemies.
Chameleon allows the players to gather in teams or play solo in each of the four different game modes:

* Deathmatch: Kill everyone, the player with the most points wins.

* King of the Hill: there is a scoring zone in which only one player at a time may stay. If that player is able to stand there alone, he or she will score points.

* Get the Diamond: "capture the flag" style, where there is only one central diamond that everyone is trying to get and take it to their base.

* Monster Slaughter: The player that scores the most points, after killing the monsters that appear on screen, wins.

* Juggernaut: When one player is the juggernaut he or she has enhanced energy and damage power. An opponent will win a large amount of points if he or she manages to kill the juggernaut. Any player can become the new juggernaut if the current one is killed or if no one manages to kill him or her after a specific period of time. The winner is the player or team with the greatest score.
