Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales,- Was a Mexican American political activist, leader, and revolutionary during the 60's "Chicano Power- Civil Rights Movement".
One of the most important roles played by Gonzales, was as an organizer of the first Annual Chicano Youth Liberation Conference in March 1969.
That conference produced a document:
"EL PLAN ESPIRITUAL DE AZTLAN" - which developed the concept of Cultural and Ethnic Nationalism, and self-determination in the struggle for Chicano liberation.
