This was one of the very first fully 3D RTS games, truth was Westwood's games were all done in 3D then converted to sprites and voxels on the PC for the very simple reason that most systems at that time had no GPUs, thus had a very hard time rendering 3D without frame rate loss. They were right up there with id and Blizzard when it came to innovation.

tell you what though total annihilation would have been an excellent rts to port to n64, the briefings are just audio like this.

@BloodShed4REAL Pity that one advantage was completely negated by the disadvantages of space and price. Games felt wierd quite often on the n64 because everything feels squeezed and compressed from texture and sound quality to game content. Not to mention that the idea of no video intros on C&C is sacrilege, also battlezone 64 and fifa etc.
Since the problems caused by the use of cartridges are literally visible in so many games I think it was a very very bad idea.
Hmm the amount of digital audio in this port is impressive, but still nintendo are idiots for not putting cdrom on the n64.
