@MegaTheBam People wouldn't believe how much cross training there is within the special operations community. CAG, DEVGRU, SAS, GSG9, are always swapping war stories, lessons learned, tactics, ect. People get this idea that "one" particular outfit is more "elite" than the other. There is a sense of pride, each unit is "specific" and unique in its application in combat. But at the end of the day it's about accomplishing the mission. There is more than one way to skin a cat... some are better. :)

Religion, politics and the special forces are 3 topics people don't know a thing about and form(and loudly voice) an oppinion on. SEALSWCC.com gives a quick run down on the beginnings and influences of the SEALs. By the way, nobody cares who got this and that from who. Special operations personnel that I have met seem to have a utilitarian attitude on EVERYTHING. In other words, they don't care who it comes from or prideful bullcrap. In other words, whatever works best gets used.
