The formula 1 of rifle shooting!

boring!!!!

@birgrunar I know and understand that any type of shooting, if one wishes to be successful, is a brain game and dependent on quality gear. Thanks for a good response but my opinion was based on a personal preference, and not seeing how this is enjoyable. I guess it is like the people who work out complex equations as a hobby. We all have our individual deals that give us pleasure. My intention was not to rip the video....just respectful opinion.

why even aim and pull the trigger? Why dont you just have a machine do it all for you? I dont see why anyone would consider a benchrest shooter any good at all if this is the ways its done. Do benchresters get any respect or do real riflemen laugh at them?
-
is this how bench rest shooting is done? LOL looks like no fun at all. Also that has to be the dumbest looking so called rifle Ive iver seen, nice hot pink stock dude!
-
where are the skills and fun in this?
-
no skill involved in shooting from a rest...... lets see him get a grouping actually holding the rifle as they were designed for

@birgrunar For what it's worth if you want to reseach Port Arthur massacre take a look at Andrew MacGregor's findings and Wendy Scurr.
may the blessings be friend.
Maybe it is me, but how do you seriously get any satisfaction from this? It is pure mechanical shooting with a person doing the math and putting their finger on a trigger that probably has about a one pound pull on it. This is like shuffleboard of shooting, an old timers game. No insult to the grey hairs; I'm 36 and have been pummeled in comps by grey hairs. I just don't get this type of shooting.

@ruger2275 It is a little more than pulling the trigger. All prepaprations, getting the rifle tuned up to be accurate, selecting the correct components, scope etc. Working up the ammo load and fine tune it etc. Sandbags and rests must also be corract. A good part of the work is in the element between the ears ! And ofcourse learn to shoot in the wind, evaluating same wind for same shot. And believe me you will only learn to shoot in the different wind conditions with an accurate rifle
