Read full description for a mini-guide.

Just a quick video showing what I believe to be the most efficient possible route for collecting Dragoon/Hydra pieces in City Trial mode. Remember that they're only found in red boxes, and I personally think Swerve Star is best for collecting the pieces. I used flight warpstar in this video because I never get to use it normally.

I'm going to post a video response showing this route in action.

Some notes: If you see a red box in the grassy area with the river running through it, including the waterwheel hill, it's guaranteed to have a piece in it. If you see a red box in the large open area with the dilapidated structures, that's also going to contain a legendary piece 100% of the time. Other "100% zones" are the small underground area between the icy passage under the volcano and the one-way invisible wall leading to the main underground, and the underground area with orange rocks (the place where I ended the video) that forks off under the forest.

Besides those, there are places such as the beach and Castle Hall, the multi-tiered area, the underground garage and directly below the volcano, in which red boxes may or may not hold legendary pieces.

Also note that in every round of City Trial mode, there may either be:

A: Both Dragoon and Hydra pieces present

B: Only Dragoon pieces

C: Only Hydra pieces

D: No legendary machine pieces present

So if you follow this route too strictly and there are no legendaries in the round you're playing, you'll probably end up with a poor machine. Besides that, I feel it ruins to game to always go for Dragoon/Hydra in every match, so I advise only using this route when you feel like it.

  • the flight warpstar is awesome

  • @Jeeves72 oh. I kinda knew about some of them, but I just thought they gave a higher chance of giving them. I never knew they were for-sure piece givers.

  • @ShiningFlare100 The areas mentioned in the description in which red boxes will always yield legendary parts.

  • @Jeeves72 100% zones?
