5. I think that laws are something we all need, don't we? How are we expected to live productively in society without them? I just don't think that laws should be based on a religious basis.

1. I don't know and don't care.
2. No, I think it would be better if the world were more open minded and less critical of others. As long as your religion doesn't interfere with me it is fine.
3. America is filled with ignorant Christians who feel like it is their duty to "show us the correct way". An example would be those who oppose gay marriage, and feel like who someone marries is somehow their own business.
4. I get my moral codes from everyday society.

I really and truly respect you for making this video. You don't make generalizations and you seem to honestly want to know what people are thinking and ask respectfully. As for your questions, I believe that, since time is infinite, there would automatically be a world like this one in existence. I like a lot of Christian ideals, but I'm not sure I believe all of them. Thank you for trying to learn about something you don't know about, and may you have a lovely life.

I reckon these are pretty legit questions.

Amazing how the biggest and 'best' religions were invented soooo long ago, with ignorance on so many levels- the latest screwy mainstream religion, Latter Day Saints just shows how spent religion is.

@finalfantasy8911 LOL you must be kiding lolllll... You think they just ask them hahahahahah you make me laugh they studied them for months and observed there behaviors, the inmates did not even know what there were studying so they could not lie...
Those guys believe in god and still they are making violent act and crime so this "god" moral thing is big B.S.

@Apmhflick Pt.7...Still, I think they should be based on human needs and desires rather than some supernatural (whatever THAT means) being (who probably doesn't exist in the first place).
I hope you still check this page for answers and I hope mine were enlightening. :)

@Apmhflick Pt.6...Rather, they are similar because most humans have decided that, as I wrote earlier, morality rests on a reduction of harm. The ancient Hebrews just happened to have come to the same conclusions (in certain respects, but definitely NOT in others). I don't particularly like laws, but that's because I'm an anarchist. This is a social philosophy that many atheists do not share. Still, laws are valuable to the safety of the individual in society...End pt.6

@Apmhflick Pt.5 My general rule of thumb is to work toward a reduction of harm, but overriding that is my belief that I shouldn't do something unless it is appealing to me and beneficial as well (not all atheists would agree w/ me though).
5. This is a loaded question. Just because some of the common laws today are similar to some of the commandments and moral proclamations of the bible does not mean they are borrowed ideas...end pt.5

You earned your place on my top ten idiot list congratulation :) Nobody said they were more intelligent, you are assuming it. But even if they were imagine a random number of 100 lifeforms hiding in 1 trillion trillion houses that are billions of light years away from each other, how much time will it take you to find them ?? It's like looking for a needle in billions of haystack it might take a fucking wile.

I am not ignorant and I am not assuming anything, I cannot say the same about you. I accept science because it's able to explain the world around us with observations and measurements evidence. Science doesn't assume anything but religious folks and delusional people and yourself does...
