"Drop G Swing Studies" vol.1 CD available at http://jeanpaulbataille.bandcamp.com/

I worked with him in Paris back in the 70's : remembering the late Marcel Dadi.
A super nice guy, a brilliant guitar player.

  • I looked at your website... do tab's exist for some of your compositions?

  • @cduggerct1 The website is presently non functional.

I plan to work on that as far as I can. I'm presently working at recordings for an upcoming CD this year (I have enough material to actually make a 10 or 20 of them... but let's say that I'm just a serious hobbyist, and there are also job and family). Tabs of the recorded tunes are of course part of the plan.

  • Wow, loved that... when you say Drop G, can you share the exact not tuning? Not the same as Open G.

    Thanks!

  • @cduggerct1

Well, I call it Drop G, because you drop the A string to G (and the low E to D), so it gives an open G 6th : DGDGBE. Just a two notes difference from standard. Could as well be called Drop D/Drop G, or Double Drop whatever, but Drop G is shorter ;-)
