This is an "old" recording of the FSU Symphonic Band playing Four Scottish Dances by Malcolm Arnold in it's entirety back in Fall of 2008.

  • We, the Texas middle school honor band, Westbrook, are going to play this.

  • Wonderful! Thank you for posting!

  • nebraska wesleyan university honor band is going to play this

  • this version is so much better than the one recorded on the CD from 2008. dunno what the difference is, but the recording makes me twitch it's so awful. Same band, but much better here!

  • props to the clarinets in the 2nd mvt. :) i feel like the 3rd mvt was a little fast though

  • Simply one of the best translations to wind orchestra of any orchestral piece - i have played every single clarinet part for this suite - and very well played here!

  • Percussion what's up with some of those upbeats in mvmt. 2? :D

  • @manderrs23 were working on this for our spring selection at my hs 2.

  • Hey who is this? I'm in the trumpet section there.

  • @manderrs23 same here, I prefer the third as long as the flutes don't mess up

  • working on this for the spring in my hs band... cannot waitttttt :) 1st mvnt is my favorite so far

  • Bravo! Great energy and exciting tempos.

  • the bassoon solo in the second mvt. is really good! good job! the oboist also did a good job in the 3rd mvt. The 4th mvt could have used a little more work but good job cause I know that that piece is a killer especially for the 2nd clarinets! ;)

  • sightread this song and loved it!!

  • my band is playing these movements this winter for our christmas concert! hopefully ill have a recording to post!

  • Great playing! I played this with the Wisconsin State Honors Band a few years ago, and I hadn't heard it since. Great piece!

  • This was great, but ms #1 flute, vibrato... please.

  • Best sound quality that I've found so far.

  • Great! I played this with the Miami Dade All County Honor Band. It was fun!
