BMW M3 Spectacular Crash at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 25, 2006) -- No. 21 Matt Connolly Motorsports BMW M3 driver Joey Hand, who was involved in a spectacular, end-over-end crash while battling for the lead with Paul Edwards in the No. 64 TRG/iRise Pontiac GTO.R late in Saturday's EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, was released from Mansfield/MedCentral Hospital at 12:40 a.m. ET.

The guy in the Pontiac is a dumb ass. Trying to make it sound like its the other guys fault. He was behind the whole time then came up and clipped his bumper. Not half way like he said.

amost forgot about this crash it from 2005 at mid ohio fuel cell was broke open joey end end up getting wash down by the fire dept and his suit cut off he was soak in gas from the crash

@Mcquiz91 what does that have to do with Americans? I've seen much worse things on and around race tracks in other countries. This bump was the result of an access road anyway, it wasn't literally a ramp but at 150MPH it turned into a ramp. It was in an area where there is almost never a crash and obviously since been fixed.

@erasetoimprove There is HUGE bump just off the road. Without it this, crash would have never happened.
