Well before that it has been 40 years though. So obviously it isn't going to sound like it did in 1969. Well I think his voice isn't what it used to be, but he can still carry a tune. I think for his age and all that he still sounds pretty good. Plus the band is still in top form.
Not correct . He had by the time this was recorded, performed it several times during the european tour. The voice is like an instrument and Ian's instrument is broken, although not completly. But it seems to me that he ignores it instead of just sticking to what he is still able to do or try another way of singing it. Still glad he tries to vary the setlist, but this didn't sound nice. Hats off to Ian anyway.
@Crisscola Listen to some of the late 09 stuff done in Iceland, Dun Ringill for one. Ian has lower his key and it works great.
