I don't think he realizes that the war was based on lies. It wasn't launched out of emotional reasons, but rather the people who started it knew full well that there were no WMDs and such, and they really wanted to invade Iraq for imperialistic reasons. Plus, 9/11 was an inside job, so it's a no-brainer that that can have to real basis to this.

Anyone who believes that the uprisings in the Middle East arent engineered are foolish. Recent events are not contradictions of what Robert said, but are a testament to the brilliance of America's strategy. Rather than using arms and blood, they are using the collectivist tendencies of Islamic cultures against them to destabilize the region.

@mozeus5 yeah, what he said was naive and self-contradictory, cause if you've read all of his books too you'll see that he knows that almost anything can be planted anywhere, given right strategy and circumstances. Be it revolution or whatever.
-
I wonder if Robert is eating some of his words today? It seems like democracy is trying to grab root and blossom in the current middle east. And we need to be there to help the rebels and people that want a more free society.

America just needs to start using terrorism back.
i think robert greene is a very smart strategist .

I would say Robert Greene's book is a crystallization of wisdom of strategists over centuries.Definitely Suntzu was original(?)or atleats as far as we know and his axioms have been worked out over a period of time. And his appeal to strategists has a stronger impact and thus Robert Greene's book seems like a greenhorn but this thinking is wrong.
