Hey everyone on this episode of Play it Through its Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse for the Sega Genesis or Mega Drive. Castle of Illusion has us playing as Mickey on a quest to save Minnie from the evil witch Mizrabel. Mickey must collect seven gems in order to enter her tower and save Minnie. Castle of Illusion is one of my all time favorite games for the Genesis or any system for that matter. The graphics for their time were really beautiful to look at especially the cookie world :). While Capcom may have been the best to create Disney games Sega was not far behind and the illusion games are some of the best platformers on Sega's various platforms. Enjoy!!

I also create Sprite Based Bead Art and do commissions. Check http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i68/AlenMcDohl/bead%20art/ for examples and goto http://bonusstagemarathons.proboards.com/ for order information

  • Always loved the Tempest level. First time I played it, I saw a face in the clouds at 3:08. I seem to remember being stuck on this level for ages...and thinking the water looked freakin beautiful and the water falls looked incredible. One of the first Mega Drive games we had, so we'd gone from Mario 3 to this...massive graphical jump.

  • I liked the *clop* noise of Mickey hitting his head.

Always thought it was a) hilarious and b)painful sounding >_O

I liked how the bosses were more a war of attrition in this game. So many games I enjoyed as a kid were 3 hit kills, but while these bosses had a set pattern to learn and could be considered easy that way, it took more hits to kill them.

  • SWEDISH FISH!!!! *Reaches out and rip some off of the plasma screen off of the monitor* AWW!

  • Othsma, I know who you are and you are a LOSER! Nice glasses asshole ;p

  • Merry Christmas to you too.

  • The toy area resembles Its a Small World

  • sugar cubes? are you sure? cuz they look more like marshmallows.

  • The dragon reminds me of Elliot, Pete's Dragon (yet another classic Disney movie).

  • Sugar cubes

  • the enemies inside the mug, are they ice cubes or marshmallows? i cant tell which.
