Student loan debt at forefront of Occupy Boston

At the Occupy Boston protest, most of the demonstrators are either college students or recent college graduates. And, as Elaine Quijano reports, relief from student loan debt is on of the top of their list of concerns.

whiny motherfucker needs to go get a job in a resteraunt. There is nothing wrong with going to college, but the kids need to to understand college is more about having a place to socialize than it is for investing in a career. There are exceptions, but going deep into debt to get college degree is a terrible investment. You can go to 2 years of JC and 2 years of state college for less than 20K.

Dude. Move to North Dakota. Anyone with a degree or a CDL can make bank starting tomorrow in North Dakota.

It's not just Oil and Gas jobs either. There's companies like Solarbee offering $50k/yr. even to guys like me who don't have a degree but have a brain and a passion for eco friendly solutions to everyday problems.

I would have applied but I didn't plunge myself into massive amounts of debt so I can survive on my low paying ski bum job in Colorado just fine.
