They dare not skip games in the series and simply do a remake of FF7 just because the crazed fans want it. It wouldn't be fair to the the older FF's to just be skipped out. 5 should be next in line, followed by 6. They remade FF6 but that's if you consider it a "remake". Graphically, it looks almost the same.

Think. How would you feel had FF8 been more popular than FF7, and they just decided to skip 7 just like that?

Until they remake the games in order, it's best to do the newer ones first.

I know this video is beyond old, but I had to remind myself of the stupidity pervades the entirety of Square Enix... let's face it, FFXIII and FFXIII-2 are both impressive looking games, but they are trying to follow the herd too much. Go back to basics Square!

Back in the day FF7 was a visual masterpiece for the playstation and a awesome game at that. With the technology we have today and the advanced graphics in games that come out, You would think this was a non issue just think of the possibilties....... But apparently getting a remake of FF7 is just as difficult as getting square enix to make KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!!.......... but maybe one day.

The game isn't overrated but just sucked completely dry and almost has nothing left. Square messed up after making ffvii: advent children. But even still... i can't help but say i would love to play a remake of that game. My issue is that it would never be the same experience. So what is the point? Oh yeah, i forgot, square loves to milk that game for all its worth.
