Perhaps cos they were such nice fucking people.

One thing I've always wondered why is there so many "undefeated king of the gypseys". Maybe they never fight anyone ?

@slugslurper101 The irony is, if you're a wrestler/grappler and you're fighting someone with no ground game, you don't have to be good at it. You're still going to win 9 times out of 10.
Seriously though, nobody who spends 4 years wrestling is "bad" at wrestling. High school wrestlers work harder than the football players. I don't know what high school sports are like over in the UK, but in the US it's insanely competitive and a little too important.

@Ljenkins9000 Again, there may be hundreds of thousands of wrestlers out there but that doesn't mean that they're good at it.

@slugslurper101 You can think that all you want, but the best fighters in the world are still American (with a few Brazilians, a couple Japanese and one Canadian). Seriously, everybody over here does it. We also have a shit ton of wrestlers because it's a high school sport. Wrestling allows for a very easy transition into MMA. As of 2001, the army is also doing MMA. It is now a pretty high possibility that if you get in a fight with an American, they know some MMA and are going to kick your ass.
