Govardhan Pooja Alachua ISKCON 2009

Lord Sri Krishna uplifted a huge mountain known as Govardhan when Indra, the Deva in charge of storms, sent torrents of devastating rain clouds to the small town of Vrindavan.

With the pinky of His left hand, Lord Krishna lifted up the mountain and underneath was a fabulous village made of gold, jewels and pearls. Vines of crystals and emeralds and rubies hung down illuminating all corners.
(No kidding! Who could make up this stuff??!!!),
There were houses and palaces everywhere. This is all revealed in the scriptures handed down by our forefathers on this planet.

These facts are not concocted like the modern scientists indoctrinate to believe, through institutionalized education systems. The human race is not decended from monkeys.
