Holocaust Memorial Day provides an opportunity for everyone to learn lessons from the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides and apply them to the present day to create a safer, better future. HMD takes place on the 27th January, which coincides with the Liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp by the Soviet Red Army. The following slideshow contains pictures of the Auschwitz Camp which were taken by Hussein Al-alak.

The Nazi Holocaust is the first that comes to mind, but was only one of many racial, ideological, religious, sectarian, tribal, mass murders.

Thanks for posting this moving video in remembrance of the millions who were murdered in Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps as a consequence of racist Genocide perpetrated by Nazi Germany and paying tribute to the courageous few who stood up against this terror
