I had a Dahon. The frame cracked full through at the seat post after 4 years. Only commuting stress -- 3 miles each way for 6 months of the year. Very disappointing. I'm getting a Bike Friday which I'm hoping will last longer. The rolling fold is very useful as is the fold speed.
That is great! But I reckon my S2L Brompton folds into a smaller package. Not a major consideration for most people, but a bloody big deal if you take them on trains as I do.
Just got one of these myself. Very handy. Since it is so convenient to have indoors and put in the car, I take it more places and ride it more often than I ever would a regular bike. And the gear range is really good for my needs. My work place is a facility on a fairly steep hill (20-30% incline), and the low gears are adequate for getting around in the hilly area as well.
