sooo crazy how the water is just so thick and flowing so fast and heavy all in one concentrated stream and just cuts off to pure dry land right where the guard rail is like a clean line

Gosh look at the amount of water coming over Vernal! I just hiked up there in early September, with about 1/3 of the amount of water you see in this video coming over the falls and even that late in the year its still a ton of water. Incredible footage!

To think three dumbasses decided it was smart to jump into this motherfucker to take pictures....Not being cruel just stating facts. DON'T JUMP INTO WATERFALLS!! It doesn't take a degree in rocket science to realize how DUMB that is.

i remember i hiked up there in june scary as fuck!! the step are slippery narrow and wet also crowded. i thought i was gonna die.

Great point. I've read numerous posts referring to the 3 hikers who plunged to their deaths at Vernal as idiots, Darwin award winners, etc. This was a horrible accident. One fell, the second fell trying to rescue the first, and the third fell trying to save the other two. It is a nightmarish tragedy, not something to be smug and clever about. The self-satisfied detachment of many online posters is outrageous. I'm not humorless, but this isn't a situation where humor has a place.
