Actually I know him, and he's a really, really nice person. No delusions of grandeur at all. If anything, he's too modest.

LOL, well articulated. I must take humpage, lol, with your observation ref Wellers last great tunes being written in the 80s. IMHO Stanley Rd is is his finest work, circa 1990ish I understand.
