Joe Bonamassa and Sandi Thom - Bird on a Wire - HD - San Francisco - 3/12/10

I shot this video on March 12, 2010 at the Palace of the Fine Arts in San Francisco, California. This song, 'Bird on a Wire', was written by the great Leonard Cohen. Joe Bonamassa covers it beautifully on his new album, 'Black Rock' and I was lucky to catch him performing it just before the album's release, scheduled for March 23, 2010. His friend, Sandi Thom, flew in from London to join him for the occasion, and, as always, Joe was supported by his brilliant band - Carmine Rojas on bass, Bogie Bowles on drums, and Rick Melick on keyboards. It's lovely. Enjoy.

The album, by the way, in my opinion, is the BEST Joe has given us yet..... and that's saying a LOT!!!

@Pelajane Defy mediocre; last time I checked Bieber, Gaga, Brittney Spears, Ashley Simpson all have made some type of career out of singing horribly. You have to admit at least this singer has soul to her voice which fits this music. Name me an extremely famous blues player who has an "amazing" voice.

the girl singer is rather mediocre im afraid---i don't think she'll ever be a major star. She's like a million others you see in bars and clubs anywhere. But Joe is certainly something special.
