  • he didnt kick the cat and was not hurting it he was lifting it with his boot and throwing it off him the cat is fine its still trying to play with him afterwards

  • Clearly that's not a kick, it's a well placed cat sweep. Anybody who owns a cat has more than likely perfected this maneuver. Usually performed when carrying a child or a laundry basket full of clothes and the cat wants to weave in and out of your legs as you're trying to walk. And obviously the cat was unaffected by it. He came back for more several times.

  • He didn't actually kick the kitty. However, I think he did hurt his FELINES! LOL!

  • I think this is a funny video of a curious kitty. I like cats, and I see no abuse of this playful kitty by the police officer. I commend the officer for his patience and his gentle "boot" of the (possibly annoying) kitty.

  • ==============

    I love cats and hate cops, so when I say the cop did nothing wrong, you can know I mean it. If he had leaned down and done the same thing with his hand, nobody would even think of criticizing him.

    In fact, this makes me actually like the police-- at least, this one! Particularly since a news article said that when this went viral, the cop was all worried and apologized to his boss that he kicked the cat.

    An asshole cop wouldn't feel that way.

  • Anyone who suggests the officer abused the cat is silly. He was incredibly patient, even gentle (especially when it was climbing all over him), and merely lifted the cat with his foot to toss him out of the way as the contact was ending--gently. The cat barely leaves the ground and goes just a few feet--and then keeps coming back for more. As a cat owner, I think anyone who views this video and thinks that the officer did anything even the least bit inappropriate is being ridiculous.

  • Okay, first of all, you probably meant to say definitely instead of defiantly. Learn to spell and people may take you a bit more serious. Secondly, your so called "wild" cats don't belong to you if they truly are wild. I hope your cats have been vaccinated because a cat contracting rabies or feline lukemia is far more cruel than anything that officer did to that cat. Rebuttal?

  • Not abuse. Just moving the cat with his foot. If the cat really thought the officer was trying to hurt it, it would not have come back to climb on him again and again.

  • For what? "Assault & Battery while Obstructing Justice?"

  • i am a cat lover, have three of them,i dont see any abuse, the officer was just doing his job.

  • I appreciate your heart being in the right place but I think it is negatively affecting your perception and judgment.
