It's interesting, because I had a choir tour to Poland last month, and the organs in all the churches and cathedrals were in a shocking condition (in and around Krakow). This sounds rather better cared for.

Alain wrote of this piece that the hanging gardens were the artist's place of refuge, his hiding-place from the world. It was his unassailable sanctuary and shelter, where he was safe. Such a typical and moving image of the tortured genius.
