i can get my serve in perfectly fine but my power isn't great so i'm asking, how to i develop power in my serve

There is two things that I have done to improve my serve power.

#1 I use my legs more.

#2 I hold the racquet more in the palm of my hand the handle is actually in the center of my palm with my hand hanging about an inch over the bottom of the racquet. When I am hitting the ball I try to use a whipping motion like you use when you hit an overhead.

These two things have personally help me. Hope this helps.
