Annie looked incredible. It was amazing, she almost didn't look like herself... but I liked it. I was glad that she had decided to dress up for prom. It was a big deal and I appreciated her agreeing to go with me. It felt good to have someone around that you knew and could trust.

Looking at her staring out of the car window made my heart ache. She looked so much like Scarlett from the side that it hurt to look at her. I turned my attention back to the road.

"So... are you excited about tonight?" I asked, trying to push the silence out of the car.

Annie quickly wiped her eyes and turned to me. She smiled. "Yeah, I am. I've never really been to one of these dances before."

I nodded. "Yeah, they're awesome. I think we'll have fun."

I knew that we would have fun. You could never be bored when you were with one of the Monroe girls.
