  • Why are there buttons in the high speed lift for floors 1-6 when the freaky voice says the lift serves floors 7-12 only

  • @MrOtis0707 the "high speed lift" (it actually just goes 2mps) stops at all floors, but they don't want people to use this lift who are going to the lower floors as there are other lifts

  • I stay at the Grand Burstin quite often when I visit my mum in Hythe and overtime I wonder why. Last time I stayed the hotel was full and all the lifts were out of order apart from the high speed lift which usually services the upper floors only. Lots of very unhappy guests. Mind you the evening entertainment can be reasonable.

  • Is pretty old elevator isn't, probably is needs future for upgraded all the elevator improvement works anyway.

  • @mrmattandmrchay In Denmark it is prestigious saving and preserving the old lifts. Modern crap = cheap hotel

  • That was a weird lift arrangement. Nice video as usual

  • ...The lift was one speed with two doors. If the lift only had one person and going up, it would overshoot the floor by about 2 inches. If it had it's max capacity (6 persons) it would undershoot it by about the same! It looked like it had never been worked on!

    Cool vid.

  • Hotel's are pretty cool for finding old lifts - modernising lifts is an expensive task. If the hotel is a little run down, it is likely that the lift will be the same.

A few years ago I stayed in a sort of run down hotel in Jersey (breakfast was the WORST I've ever experienced anywhere)...
