"Drop G Swing Studies" vol.1 CD available at http://jeanpaulbataille.bandcamp.com/

A recent up-tempo number (# 1040 "Toc Toc", I dig that new tune) on the very new (bought it yesterday) Eastman archtop.
I'm discovering the guitar, which is always a joy.
I think that a classic jazz tone can bring something interesting to my style. We'll see in a few month when we'll know each other better.

  • Thanks for the reply...

Are you from France and living in Quebec ?

I also play with short nails... mostly because I have a difficult time keeping them long. I also like the tone.

  • @bohemian46 Yes, French born, moved in Montreal 15 years ago.

  • It appears and sounds like you are playing without nails... sounds great !

  • @bohemian46 actually this is 90% flesh with a little bit of nail at the end of the attack. I keep nails short. I don't like the sound when they are too long. As you may notice, I'm not a big fan of high frequencies in my sound ;-)
