LMMS: Song Demonstration

This is a video demonstration of LMMS playing a song I made. I decided to make this video since there aren't that many documenting it's capabilities (all the other youtube videos tend to be just clips of single basslines/drumloops). when I first downloaded LMMS I was quite surprised by what it could do. The video is quite low quality, and out of focus, but the sound is intact.

This a song I made using only LMMS, all the synth patches are my own, I really don't like using presets. I only used LMMS' built in instruments and drum-hit samples to make this, and for effects I only used open-source LADSPA plugins available from the Ubuntu 9.04 repositories.

I am running version 0.4.3 of LMMS on Ubuntu 9.04 (generic, straight off the disc install). LMMS is also available for Windows, if you're interested in getting it.

nice. most of the demos don't include how to build an actual song - multi-tracks and such. i'm curious to know if this can replace a traditional audio/MIDI sequencer.

I got the program about a week ago and I really love it, but could you help me out? I know this is a total nubhat question, but I'm using several different basslines with all the same instruments, and I just want to mute certain ones in different combinations, but when ever I mute one of them in the Beat and Bassline editor, it applies the mute to each of my basslines, even though I only have one selected. Help?

I am a beginner and I also use LMMS. It's a bit buggy, but if you can get past that, it is a really nice software. Check out my first song if you want to see what a teenage kid can do with LMMS!
