i hate when people compare Corvettes & Mustangs.. -_- its like comparing apples & oranges.. Mustangs & Corvettes are in completely different classes; Corvettes are super/sports cars & Mustangs are muscle/pony cars - they have no business being compared with each other - they are not intended for the same things. super/sport cars = top speed + aerodynamics + 1/4 mile, while muscle/pony = 0-60mph + engine noise.

proper comparisons are;

Ford GT vs Corvette vs Viper

Mustang vs Camaro vs Challenger

Corvette is the best bang for the buck, but it is also the most seen of the 3 American super cars. i would take a Ford GT or Viper SRT10 over 2 Corvette Z06's simply because there are like 1000 Corvettes on the road for every 1 Ford GT or Viper SRT10.

-im not saying the Corvette is worse, im saying that [besides the ZR1], Corvettes are about as rare & unique as a Honda Civic.. not much appeal in that regard.. :/

Corvettes are cool, but if I was getting a free car and had to choose one of the three, the Vette would be the last I'd choose.

@SupremeGforce ford gt was a remake of the ford gt40 and they sold it in limited numbers, it wasnt scrapped. they were all sold.

-i am Jack's complete agreement; adding in modifications renders all comparisons irrelevant because, just as there are many ways to skin a cat, there are copious ways to engineer a car to be fast.

-you can't always judge a book by it's cover, or a car by it's make; exceptions certainly exist within the realm of modification; look at the standing mile record - held by a heavily modified Ford GT, not a Veyron.

I totaly understand what you are saying as a reference to a "Stock" car. However the race world and street race scene have not seen a stock car since it's start. Whats my point??? The point is I own a 600 Wheel hp corvette and my buddy has an 03 Mustang GT two valve that keeps up with me. Now granted he has a fully built motor and a Bad ass YSI running 22LBS of boost, well you get my point. The only comparison that can be done is when they are stock.

-why are you mad? relax.. insulting me only shows insecurity of your argument's validity. also, if i said, "a Corvette ZR1 does 0-60mph in about 3 seconds." you're saying i'd be 100% lying?

-all i did was take the truth [Corvettes are over-populated compared to Ford GT's & Vipers], & exaggerate the actual numbers to amplify that point; 1000/100 to 1 = irrelevant. you see?
