The New Colonialism

Historians teach colonialism is a thing of the past. We are told wars of conquest, occupation, dominance & the theft of land, labor & resources in the name of Imperial Empire no longer pertain to our Post Colonial era. This video describes how the old colonial powers use the World Bank & IMF to continue to colonize the so called underdeveloped world with globalization, free trade & "structural adjustment." The phrase "structural adjustment" would win an Academy Award if propagandist had their own night of awards.

Hey, awesome job breaking it down! As a Haitian immigrant who knows why the country is so poor, I cringe every time I hear the "scholars" blame it on "corrupt."

The worst thing is that people actually believe it, even though US politicians are exposed every other day for their corruption. Just last summer the feds arrested dozens of crooks in m state of NJ. The whole world is corrupt.

It's important for people to utilize critical thinking and question conventional propaganda.
