I have to say this view seems to be more prevalent lately with love songs to the Lord. Someone can take a song about loving God, being loved by Him, and think it's about love between two vampires? Oh forgive us Lord, for we have lost our affections for You (Rev 2). The most important thing for us to do every single day of our lives is to love our Saving God (Deut 6:5). Anything else is a sin called idolatry, for the throne of our hearts belongs to the Lord. Let's put Him in His proper place.
