I happen to be a big fan of Latin music--especially when its done by an American artist. When I first heard music from this album (yes the vinyl kind which I still have) I loved the whole thing. It just told me that Pat is an artist that can take a musical beat (samba, or any Brazilian sound) and make it come alive. I wish he could have done this more after "Letter From Home". I'm sure they love him in Brazil.

It's a stylized samba, but is real Pat Metheny. Begins like a traditional samba and ends totally PMG. But there is a brazilian percussionist on it (Marçal)

Makes me think of the summer and the sweet breezes we would get in our house. I can almost smell the grill going. Good stuff! I was about 7-8-9 when my step-father played this. I loved it then and I love it now!
