Lets start with fixing the 60-80 billion in fraud in medicare/medicaid. Tort reform. Let insurance cos. compete in all 50 states. Toss out the 135,000 pages of state, local and federal regulations against Ins. Cos. Every company should have a number of plans very simply laid out stating what coverage you get and how much. It should also be uniform across the entire country instead of having different policies state to state.

hmm... but as I gather a lot of costs are a becuase the actual care is expensive, suggeting that people are treated when i minor complication becmomes a huge one.

Also dont illegals only get emergency care? Also an illegal is likely to work for an emplyer, s0ow ill be net contributors to the economy, so I dont think it matters if health costs go on them.

I think the industry needs to be in democratic hands (i.e. government) to ensure people are covered and costs are kept low

illegals probably provide more for the economy than legals so i think that's probably a moot issue, "illegals."

US Postal service, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, California all have in common? They are Bankrupt. I live in Mass. Our MBTA and Turnpike Authority are Bankrupt. Our RMV just raised fees and closed 11 branches. Higher cost, less service. The government is going to run healthcare, Good Luck!

Medicare/medicaid is a government help care which starts in 1965 but is now going broke. This proves governmental help care is not good. 20 yrs in and Medicaid is going broke.

You seem to be criticizing one side of the spectrum. You argue that medicare is going broke, therefore government is no good. However, premiums and deductibles under private insurance are rising extraordinarily yet private insurance is good?

500 Billion in cuts to Medicare.
1 trillion in spending and 25 million still uninsured. Democrats giving protection to Ins. Cos. that deny service. Fines to Doctors if they spend to much when caring for seniors. Insurance for illegals. The fact that we are being told how important this is, yet it does go into effect untill 2013. With real benefits not being seen untill 2015. I want reform, just not what is being proposed.
