  • I agree. Paying a pilot 16k/yr when a McDonalds worker makes more. ONLY in AMERICA!

I have been to several countries and first officers always make excellent money...its comparable to an engineer or doctor's salary. Eg: In India, entry level 1st officers get paid 150000 Indian ruppees (3658 USD/month). And senior captains get 500000 Indian rupees (12195 USD/month).

    ONLY IN AMERICA! SIGH!

  • This guy is going to make a great chief pilot for some regional airline!

  • Why don't you have a real regional airline copilot tell you what the job is like, not some guy standing outside a light twin.

  • Brazil its worse.

  • when the economy gets better won't more positions become available, also if people arent making that much money in the US can you work in a different country withyour license?

  • It is a starting position it is always low for any career.

  • If you love to fly DONT WORK FOR THE AIRLINES. Go to school, get a good job and then BUY a small airplane and fly because you LOVE it. In the end, the cost of a small, used Cessna is probably less than one will pay for 4 years of school to become a pilot.

  • An ever expanding industry. Tell that to the 10,000 guys on furlough and see what they think. What a clueless video.

  • i'm 21 and i'm a political science major could i get my commercial licensee? i live In california what are the requirements?

  • hey leonardo I HIGHLY ADVICE U TO TAKE PILOTIN SCHOOL AFTER HIGH SCHOOL AND NOT MILITARY CUZ U HAVE TO SIGN CONTRACTS THERE.... AND BTW DO U LIVE IN CANADA I CAN SHOW U SUM LINKS HERE IN CANADA OF PILOTIN SCHOOLS
