  • well...this might not help that much but the piece you are referring to in the video with the toothpicks is based on the classic image of the radiating heart...the picks are coming out of rather then piercing into, the question with the banana (which sounds oddly funny) is are the toothpicks going in or coming out? Coincidence can be strange, especially when it exposes both possible answers that may not be related but are shown to exist simultaneously

  • On the day you posted this a disturbed kid I met at a local zen center created an equally confrontational piece: a banana pierced by dozens of toothpicks. My head continues to battle against the relevance of these types of coincidences, but my heart wants to surrender to them.
