Tens of thousands of indigenous people took to the streets across Latin America last week to protest the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's discovery of the Americas in 1492.
Columbus Day is celebrated as the Day of Hispanic Heritage in Latin America, but protesters marked the holiday this year as a reminder of the atrocities Spanish conquistadors wrought on indigenous people throughout the region.

  • @MrJivePirate That's deep.

  • @Tripo1iSamson Maybe I'd be bothered to make a real argument if you knew any history at all.

  • @MrJivePirate Isn't it funny that Hitler was a socialist with romantic nationalist aspects? As in Nazi, as in National Socialist? Shoot, and here I was thinking that left-of-center economic policies such as socialism tended to earn somebody a title other than "fascist," but hey, that would mess up your black-and-white paradigm that all evil is 'conservative' or 'right-wing' and all good is anything else. Yeah, you're bright.

  • @MrJivePirate okay.......not making much sense today, MrJivePirate.

  • @Tripo1iSamson Hitler only killed 1 person in his entire life. You're a fascist like hitler, perhaps you should take his example and off yourself in a basement?

  • @MrJivePirate If you stated your point of view or argument more concisely instead of just jumping to conclusions ("you're a fascist"/"you're a conservative") I wouldn't have to ask you to clarify.

  • @MrJivePirate Or, are you insinuating that because Casas simply 'documented' Columbus' "crimes" that suffices as evidence that Columbus literally killed anyone?

  • @Tripo1iSamson hahahaha oh my god. you're the dumbest youtuber. Nobody ever said that las Casas was "killed by Columbus." las Casas was a contemporary of Columbus who documented Columbus's many crimes against the native people's of Hispaniola. Of course, you're a conservative so you don't know where Hispaniola is.

  • @MrJivePirate You're certainly not brighter than Thomas Aquinas.
