n00b using Ebullience over Parsimony...

Ebullience is only a 20% damage boost, which doesn't trump spending only 1/2 MP of the spell. That's where SCH wins out over BLM; It can drop far, far more nukes over time for a little less damage but in doing so causing much more damage than a BLM.

@Malacite I was showing the dmg a sch can do, wasn't worried about conserving MP in this video, otherwise yes, parsimony would be a better option.. depending on what you are doing like everything else.

would sch make a great sub for my 90 blm? i think im doin pretty well with /rdm settin off ele spells at 35% but would parismony and alacrity be more efficient?

@ikhebl0l As a healer, Elvaan SCH works great, you can drop some fat cures with the Rapture stratagem, and adding in Accession will make it a HUGE Curaga, and having Sublimation means you rarely need to rest in a non-insane "don't know how to manage hate" party, which is nice.

However Dark Arts is kinda lame. Elvaan have the worst INT in the game, and coupled with our relatively low MP pool, being just a decent nuker/enfeebler is gonna require amazing gear. Not impossible, but hard as hell.

I wonder how Elvaan SCH's would do, it's supposed to be my next job to help out my ls, but I'm not really sure how well a middle-funded Elvaan SCH performs. Then again, I haven't played it yet, so I might find it out on the way.

No, Scholar's Ebullience does in fact increase the DMG ratio dependant of the user and weather around. It doesn't increase the elemental skill but the potency, which lowers resist rates but also the overall DMG output.
