On 30th August 1980, with the Berlin Wall still very much in place, Barclay James Harvest performed a celebratory concert in front of the Reichstag in Berlin for a vast German audience, estimated at 250,000. Throughout the seventies Barclay James Harvest were one of the most popular acts in Germany and this concert was presented as a thank you to all their fans. Featuring tracks from the then soon to be released "Turn Of The Tide" album plus classics from across their career, this concert is a celebration of Barclay James Harvest at their very best and at the height of their career.

Tracklist:

1) Berlin 2) Loving Is Easy 3) Mockingbird 4) Sip Of Wine 5) Nova Lepidoptera 6) In Memory Of The Martyrs 7) Life Is For Living 8) Child Of The Universe 9) Hymn 10) Berlin

  • I like the song! Never heard of it and never heard of Barclay James Harvest, but that is why I am often on Youtube; to look for new genres of music and new artists.

I really like the simplicity of the song, but despite that it remains a very inspiring song. I dig the synthesizer :P

  • BJH. are just aoo dammed relaxed and so easy to mellow in with. this song is so upbeat yet just i dunno godly. same with hymn and child of the universe. thumbs down if u disagree but thats your opinion. for a band that involve god and upbeat tunes like this, they too will soon be soaring like gods. BJH forever

  • @richdewar

Exactly! And i can hear it in the voice off the singer and the synthetizer has not the same sound as in the original version in Berlin! :)

  • @kiki08647 Un des meilleurs groupe POP des années 70.

  • @hendrixkaf

That's what I was thinking. I remember the video being a bit more live than this.

  • For my 18th birthday my sister got me tickets to see BJH at Edinburgh...nearly 30 years later she hasn't got me a present to come any where near that!!!

  • FANTASTIC SOUND!!!

  • This takes me back to great times in the early 1980's. Classic & different when most of my friends were into pop and dare I say ELO. Just look at what they were missing. I'm off to see Colin Browne (keyboard) at Newcastle Jazz & Blues, Staffs. Life is for living.

  • That's not the famous concert in Berlin "A concert for the people"...

  • je me souviens j étais allé les voir a reims en 84 j avais 21ans un concert inoubliable et grandiose des souvenirs magiques !
