  • KILLING IT! love this so much, watched it several times today already. how did u come up with the banjo parts? all from ear?

  • @yonderboogey Thank you very much! Yes, I picked up the banjo parts by ear. They are based loosely around Rob McCoury's playing in The Del McCoury band's rendition.

  • great cover guys! What's the tuning of the banjo is it double c ?

  • @TomAndBasti Thanks! It's double C down a whole step.

  • Josh, how many instruments do you play?

  • @purcreationzz55 Guitar and banjo are really the only ones I'll own up to playing...

  • wow, really epic man, this is by far the best version of this song. by a long shot haha it has the soul and meaning of the orignal lyrics and the bluegrassy Badass banjo. amazing man. iv been playing mandolin for a few years and banjo for a couple weeks now, if only i knew more people who loved music

  • great job - from a 44 yr old tryin' to learn that banjo

  • I love how you completely owned this - Josh - do you know where to find a tab for the banjo part you played? I want to try playing this with my son.

  • very good! love this song

  • I hate when you just take up and instrument and then you watch kids like these that are at Asian level...and your just like, "yeah....I can do that..." In my case its a banjo...

  • I thought Del wouldn't have any competition on this song but these guys are proving me wrong. Go ahead and use Knoxville in the American Version because it fits when your playing in the US and also playing it in a traditional Bluegrass style. Alot of things change when other people play someone's song. Just don't butcher it. Stay true to the melody and lyrics. The lyrics in this song tell a great story. The story is about James, Red Molly and a 52 Vincent not Box Hill or Knoxville.

  • Guys, that was kick ass!

  • Great cover - you made it you own - my hat's off to you!!!!!!
