PARODY - The Taiwanese Night Market Song (望春风 Spring Wind)

Back with another Parody by Jenton!

Doing something a little different this week. I'm performing at a Taiwanese Cultural Fest on Saturday May 9th, 2009 (http://tinyurl.com/crp2xp) and was asked to perform a song that was related to Taiwan in some way. Simply put, I suck at speaking Chinese and Taiwanese, so I didn't have the cajones to try covering a song in Chinese. Instead, I went with what I know, so I wrote a parody of a famous Taiwanese folk song, or 望春风, which I believe is roughly translated to 'Spring Wind'.

And thanks to everyone who subscribed and got me to 1000 subscribers! WOOHOO.

UPDATE: (8/31/09) Thanks for all your help and support everyone!

UPDATE: (8/17/09) If you haven't heard, TaiwaneseAmerican.org has been running a campaign to support the Taiwanese communities that have been devastated by the recent typhoon. The death toll will rise beyond 500+, and the damage is estimated in the tens of billions of dollars.

Several other Taiwanese American artists are lending their help to raise money to donate to the cause. I myself, am running a YouTube view count campaign. So here's how it will work:

When August 31st hits, I will look at the total view count of this video, and donate 10 cents per view to the Taiwanese Association of America (http://taa-usa.org/). So tell your friends to just keep watching this video and boosting up its views. It's such an easy way to help contribute to the cause! Thanks!
