  • A low fat diet by definition is a high carbohyrate diet, or a high sugar diet. We are animals, animal fats are ok. The worst diet would start out with any synthetic foods. Foods the body has not seen throughout human history, like margarine, preservatives, etc. The next worst would be extracted foods in amounts not consumed throughout human history like High Fructose Corn Syrup

  • @lynnellsman I'm not an expert, but I don't see the connection between us being animals, and ingesting large amounts of animal fats.

  • I think he looks fine for being 65 in this video, he's now about 70, so maybe he has done a few things right over his life to keep it going?

  • Ignorance..Even if Weil isn't the slimmest guy around. Does that make him unhealthy? I'm pretty sure he eats healthier than most people on the planet today especially most Americans. You can gain weight from healthy foods not just junk foods..On top of that Milton Friedman said it best the cure for cancer doesn't have to come from someone that has cancer. Weil's credentials speak for themselves. He isn't talking opinion here but science.

  • He isn't fat fat. . . He is getting quite old, and it's natural to put on weight when we get old. Plus, he spends all his time working to help us, bit of a workaholic. . . Those books don't write themselves. . . And finally, his weight is from good quality olive oils, not junk food

    ; )

  • Does anybody have a citation or link to the Australian study showing the arterial dysfunction due to oxidized fats?

  • Watched this guy in my fitness class. Couldn't stop thinking about how he looked like Karl Marx.

  • YOUR A FAT MAN I DONT SEE WHY PEOPLE TAKE ADVICE FROM PEOPLE NOT GETTING THE RESULTS!!!

  • @cdmentor That isn't FAT he is chubby..but FAT, obese FAT, morbid Obese FAT is totally different. Yes he isn't thin, he is as I said chubby. and Old.. Some say that being 'a little overweight' is much healthier than being TOO thin. As someone wrote, listen to what he says, not what he looks like...again he isn't MORBIDLY obese so....

  • maybe he is in denial of his own overweightness?!?!

  • sounds like the SAD to me! XD
