I still do this on a weekly basis and I don't get ported. You just need to make sure you don't overaggro your pet, otherwise yes, you will get ported down.

You can use game mechanics (mob pathing) to your advantage here by going on to the stairs and jumping down on the sides, he cant charge you up there. Just park your pet where you can reach him and you can just burst down the boss without ever being charged or feared

@maezry1: Correct -- this video is not the exploit. If you watch you'll see that I use no tricks to keep Mandokir from charging me. In fact, I get charged a heck of a lot 'cause I was being sloppy :)
